Oil and incense bring joy to the heart, and the sweetness of a friend is better than self-counsel.
Proverbs 27:9
The sisterhood was started as a way to bring ladies in our community together who have lost their husbands.
The following is a testimony from one of our ladies:
"I am Phyllis McConnell. My husband, Ralph, passed away a year and a half ago. We were married for 49 1/2 years. To suddenly be all alone was devastating. A friend of mine told me about a widow's group called the sisterhood that was started by Becky Clough. My very first meeting helped me so much! Just to be with other ladies that have lost their husbands and to hear what they were going through. We are all on different levels of grief. After several meetings, the sun began to shine again in my heart. We can now even get past our grief for a little while and focus on the good times that we were blessed with when our husbands were still in our lives. It is a time for fun, fellowship, and refreshments. We even throw a game in to make us laugh. I encourage you to come join us."
